
Mayor says the William Street Overpass project is still ahead of schedule
Construction continues on the William Street Overpass.
Brockville Mayor Matt Wren knows its been a huge inconvenience for the public since February, but also points out that scheduling has contributed to this project taking its time.
Mayor Wren says CN does their best, but the reality is, this is just one of many projects along their cross country network.
If CN can accommodate soon, then the lengthy project will get closer to wrapping up, he adds.
Brockville’s latest budget report shows a projected $223,625 deficit in city departments.

Council reviewed the variance report on Tuesday, based on May 31st figures. Mayor Wren adds this is a small deficit, and council along with city staff are committed to very tight financial management.
