Across Ontario, the 2026 municipal elections will take place Monday, Oct. 26
With municipal elections set for this fall, community members in Augusta Township are preparing to put their names forward. Incumbent mayor Jeff Shaver, who has served since 2022, confirmed he will seek another term in office.
Shaver spoke about a project he has wanted to start since first joining council.
He said he hopes a second term will allow the project to move forward and make real progress.
Across Ontario, the 2026 municipal elections will take place Monday, Oct. 26.
Voters across the province will choose mayors, councillors, and school board trustees in both large cities and smaller communities. Residents in Augusta Township will have the chance to decide if Shaver will continue leading the municipality or if a new candidate will take the helm.
