Brockville firefighters were expected to remain at Tall Ships Landing for several hours following a fire Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to 10 St. Andrew Street where the fire was reoprted inside the Tall Ships Landing office building, which houses businesses, and not the nearby residential condominium tower.
Brockville Fire Prevention Officer Dave Scott says officials are sifting through what information they have.
Early reports indicate damage inside the building was minimal. No injuries were reported, and officials had not released information about what may have sparked the fire.
Firefighters planned to stay at the building for a few hours to check the affected area and make sure no hotspots remained.
The response temporarily affected traffic and access near the waterfront because crews had hoses connected to hydrants for their water supply.
Scott asked drivers and pedestrians to give emergency crews space while their work continued, adding that firefighters got their quickly.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
