Winter weather cancels school bus transportation in Brockville area

Due to forecasted winter weather and poor road conditions

All school bus and special transportation has been cancelled in the Brockville area due to forecasted winter weather and poor road conditions.

The cancellations affect all counties served by the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and the Upper Canada District School Board, including Brockville and surrounding communities. Transportation officials say buses will not operate because of unsafe travel conditions linked to snowfall and reduced visibility.

All schools remain open despite the transportation shutdown. Parents and guardians are being asked to decide whether it is safe for students to travel to school using alternate transportation.

Weather conditions are expected to impact travel throughout the day, particularly during peak commute times. School boards say student safety remains the top priority.

Families are encouraged to monitor local weather forecasts and school board updates in case conditions change later in the day.
