While the signage and branding are changing, the dealership says its commitment to local service and community roots will remain the same
After 30 years serving RV buyers across Eastern Ontario, 1000 Islands RV is preparing for a major transformation. Leisure Days RV Group has announced the dealership will rebrand as RV Canada 1000 Islands, effective February 24, 2026.
Founded in May 1996, the dealership began as a small operation on a vacant lot with a limited inventory. In its early days, staff even had to deflate tires to fit larger RVs into undersized service bays. Over three decades, the business steadily expanded, evolving into one of the region’s leading RV destinations.
Reflecting on the journey, Henry Boer, the original owner of 1000 Islands RV, sees this evolution as the natural next step for the business he helped build. "We took 1000 Islands RV Centre as far as we could, and I am incredibly proud of the foundation we built over the decades," said Henry Boer. "Now, with the power of the RV Canada brand behind it, this company is ready to go to the next level. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for RV Canada 1000 Islands."
The rebrand positions the Gananoque location as part of a new RV Canada “superstore” corridor along Highway 401 and marks the brand’s second location, joining its Ottawa-area flagship. As part of the RV Canada network, customers will gain access to a nationwide inventory, national pricing power, and improved access to parts and service.
"We are incredibly proud of our 30-year history in this region," said Adam Finley, General Manager. "Becoming RV Canada 1000 Islands is the ultimate celebration of that legacy. We are keeping the friendly service that built this business, but now we can offer our customers better pricing, faster parts access, and hundreds more units than we ever could before."
While the signage and branding are changing, the dealership says its commitment to local service and community roots will remain the same. A spring grand re-opening celebration is being planned for late March or early April, with more details to follow.
