Brockville City Council follows strict procurement rules for public contracts. Recent concerns arose when a Kingston realtor won a city land sale.

Mayor Matt Wren says the city sets out the conditions or what we want to go into an RFP. But then once that RFP process happens, the successful bidder is based on the criteria of the RFP.

Wren says local agents can bid, but can't be favoured based on their location.
