The foundation says the additions will help improve patient comfort and outcomes while supporting modern surgical care close to home
A local fundraising campaign has brought in more than $950,000 to support new medical equipment at Brockville General Hospital.
The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation announced the total from its BottomsUP! Campaign, crediting strong support from donors and the wider community.
“Thank you for your generous support of our Bottom’s Up Campaign. Because of you, Brockville General Hospital is able to provide more modern, comfortable, and dignified care for patients in our community,” said Trish Buote, executive director of the foundation.
Buote added the foundation is grateful for the community’s continued commitment as the hospital invests in better care for the future.
Funds from the campaign will allow the hospital’s surgical services department to purchase new equipment, including two equipment processors and transfer carts, 13 colonoscopes, seven gastroscopes and three EndoDry cabinets.
The foundation says the additions will help improve patient comfort and outcomes while supporting modern surgical care close to home.
