Brockville man arrested after police seize cocaine, ecstasy and cash in street crime probe

The man remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing

Ontario Provincial Police say a Brockville man is facing multiple charges after officers seized suspected drugs, cash and a cellphone during a targeted street crime investigation this week.

Members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit, with help from Leeds County and Grenville County OPP detachments and the OPP Emergency Response Team, located and arrested the 31-year-old on Tuesday March 3rd.

Police say officers seized more than thirteen grams of suspected cocaine, over five grams of suspected ecstasy and more than $500 in Canadian and U.S. currency.

Investigators also took a cellphone as part of the probe.

The accused faces three counts of operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.

The man remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing.
