Brockville drivers are being reminded to take extra care on winter roads as the new year begins.
Recent snow and freezing rain have affected the region, and with winter weather expected to get worse into January and February, caution is especially important.
Darryl Boyd, Patrol and Operations Inspector at the Brockville Police Service, noted one of the biggest factors affecting winter driving.
He also stressed the importance of using proper tires to stay safe on winter roads.
For newer drivers, Boyd offered a few practical safety tips.
