Brockville resident's curling story now one of Canada’s top 20 — and a trip to the Brier is on the line

A local curling story is gaining national attention after being named a finalist in Curling Canada’s Curling Day in Canada contest. Jen Baker’s submission has been selected as one of the top 20 stories from across the country, earning a place in the public voting round.

The contest invites curlers to share personal stories about the sport’s impact on their lives and communities. Voting is now open for one week, with the story receiving the most votes winning a trip to the 2027 Tim Hortons Brier.

Supporters can vote online using an email address, with one vote allowed per email. Voting remains open until Saturday, Jan. 31, and participants with multiple email addresses may vote up to five times per day.
