The project is designed to be walkable, transit-connected, and sustainable, with energy-efficient buildings and community-focused public spaces
The old Brockville Shopping Centre is being transformed into a mixed-use community called Stewart Village, promising a fresh vision for the city’s downtown.
Owner Jameel Madhani explained the plan.
He highlighted that the redevelopment will aim at preserving the stores at the front and rear of the centre while introducing modern housing, green spaces, and recreation areas.
Stewart Village will feature multi-family rental and for-sale condominiums, outdoor trails, and play spaces, along with The Core Recreation & Entertainment.
The project is designed to be walkable, transit-connected, and sustainable, with energy-efficient buildings and community-focused public spaces.
Retailers will have prime commercial space, while residents will enjoy a vibrant, accessible neighbourhood built for modern lifestyles.
Developed by Transit Capital with long-term investment partners, Stewart Village aims to boost economic growth, expand housing options, and create a resilient, inclusive urban hub.
Construction will proceed in phases, marking a major step in Brockville’s urban revitalization.
