A major figure skating competition is set to glide into Brockville later this month, and organizers are putting out a call for volunteers.
The Skate Ontario STAR 1-4 Brockville Figure Skating Competition will run from Feb. 27 to March 1 at the Brockville Memorial Centre. The three-day event will welcome young skaters from across the region to compete in a range of categories.
Organizers say community members are invited to come watch the competition, explore the on-site vendor market or sign up to help behind the scenes. Spectators are welcome, with admission set at $5.
Volunteers are needed to support the event throughout the weekend. Those interested in helping are asked to contact organizers by email at skatebrockville2024@gmail.com
