A community celebration is set for tonight (April 7) at the Brockville Legion Branch 96 to honour longtime local broadcaster Bruce Wylie and his 55-year career in local radio. The event will run from 5 p.m. to about 8:30 p.m.
Wylie explained what will be going on.
He said he organized the gathering to thank listeners and show his appreciation to the community for decades of support.
The evening will include catered food from the Keystorm Pub and a cash bar.
Speeches are scheduled to begin around 6:30 p.m.
Attendees can drop in or stay for the evening as Brockville residents come together to celebrate a well-known local voice marking the end of his radio career.
