A $50,000 donation
The Brockville General Volunteer Association (BGVA) has made another major contribution to health care in the city. At its annual general meeting this week, the association presented a $50,000 donation to Brockville General Hospital.
The funds come from everyday community support, including purchases at the hospital’s gift shop, coffee from Eleanor’s Café, and raffle ticket sales. Every dollar raised by volunteers and supporters goes directly back into the hospital to help improve patient care and services.
The BGVA has a long history of raising money and providing hands-on support at the hospital. This latest donation adds to the group’s long-standing tradition of giving back to health care in Brockville.
Hospital leaders say volunteer fundraising efforts play an important role in maintaining and expanding services. The association thanked community members for their ongoing support, calling them a vital part of the hospital’s success.
