The tenant had until 5 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 17) to remove any remaining property or it will be considered abandoned
Moose McGuire's Tap House at Tall Ships Landing remains closed after its landlord issued a notice claiming months of unpaid rent.
A Notice of Termination dated Feb. 3, 2026, states that Metcalfe Realty Company Limited has ended the lease and taken possession of the Brockville waterfront property at 15 St. Andrew Street. The document claims the tenant owes $767,790.04 in rent arrears.
The lease, signed March 25, 2019, was held by 1860154 Ontario Inc., 1027663-4 Canada Inc., and 1027375-9 Canada Inc., operating as Moose’s Tap House Inc.
The landlord says the tenant is responsible for the unpaid rent, damages for the remaining lease term, legal fees, recovery costs and interest.
The tenant had until 5 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 17) to remove any remaining property or it will be considered abandoned.
The closure leaves a huge void in Brockville’s waterfront restaurant scene. BrockvilleDaily.ca has not received comments from the landlord or Moose McGuire's.
