The golf course is offering a $2,000 reward for the return of the trailer and any information leading to the suspects
Thefts in the area have been rising and a recent break-in at Sunnidell Golf & Learning Centre, 1945 Sharps Ln., Elizabethtown-Kitley, shows the problem is not slowing down.
A Kubota-orange Agro Trend hydraulic dump trailer was stolen from the golf centre likely overnight on Monday, November 17th.
Thieves also broke the lock on the equipment barn and took several other items.
Sunnidell Owner and Operator Dan Clayton is understandably upset.
The golf course is offering a $2,000 reward for the return of the trailer and any information leading to the suspects.
Clayton now has an image of the thieves’ truck.
The truck is also described as mainly grey.
BrockvilleDaily.ca reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police, who are leading the investigation.
The OPP said:
“The investigation is still ongoing. Officers have located items that may have been left behind by the suspect(s), and are following that lead at this time. Theft-deterring steps have been undertaken by the owner of the business, to mitigate future thefts or in the event the suspect(s) return.”
“Residents are reminded to keep doors locked, use bright or motion-detection lighting, and, if available, video surveillance. While cameras cannot prevent thefts, they can help solve crimes. Residents are also advised not to leave spare keys hidden outside.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the OPP.
