In addition to basic supports, clients can take part in recreational programming
The Brockville Drop-In Centre operated by Lanark, Leeds Grenville Addictions and Mental Health is expanding its hours, following new funding from the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. The change is intended to better support people who rely on the service for daily needs.
The Drop-In Centre is located at 25 Front Avenue West, South Entrance, in Brockville. It will now be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The extended schedule will remain in place until April 30, 2026.
The centre provides a safe, warm and welcoming space for clients. Services include access to laundry and shower facilities, cellphone charging and a place to rest during the day.
In addition to basic supports, clients can take part in recreational programming. Activities include arts and crafts, board games, cards, trivia and group sessions led by staff.
The expanded hours are expected to improve access and reduce barriers for people seeking consistent support in the community.
