The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation is inviting residents to a public health talk next month about heart and stroke care in the community.
The session called MEDtalks Keep the Beat is set for April 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Aquatarium at Tall Ships Landing. Organizers say the event will explain how to recognize signs of heart disease and how symptoms can appear differently in men and women.
Speakers include cardiologist Jamie Hynd and representatives Lisa Comber and Brenda Shackles from the Canadian Women's Heart Health Alliance. They will outline treatment options and describe programs offered at Brockville General Hospital that support heart health locally.
The event is free and open to everyone with seats available through an online reservation. The session is sponsored by RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities. Registration link is posted on Eventbrite for details.
