The campaign still has room to go yet
Giving Tuesday earlier this week was a major success, with local donors stepping up to support community programs through United Way Leeds and Grenville.
Executive Director Hailie Jack announced the total.
She reminded the public that the final total will be doubled thanks to a generous matching donor, and noted that the campaign still has room to go.
Donations help fund programs that support vulnerable seniors, at-risk youth, families struggling with hunger, and mental health and addiction services.
Officials said every dollar stays in the region, making a direct impact on the community and helping ensure these programs can continue without interruption.
