Augusta Fire Rescue, Prescott Fire Department, and the Edwardsburgh Cardinal Firefighters Association will be at the Independent Grocer and Giant Tiger in Prescott from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., accepting monetary and non-perishable donations.
The effort is part of a collaboration with the Chief Fire Officer’s Association of Leeds and Grenville, and all donations will go directly to help local families. Community support is needed to make the drive a success.
Bonnie Cougler, manager of the South Grenville Food Bank, said demand continues to rise.
Although all donations are appreciated, Cougler noted a few items the food bank is currently in need of.
Cougler thanked everyone taking part and encouraged residents to bring extra non-perishable items to help support the community initiative.
