The Emergency Department serves about 20,000 people each year
Kemptville District Hospital has recruited 10 new physicians for its Emergency Department, strengthening 24-hour care for patients in North Grenville and nearby communities.
The hospital launched a recruitment campaign in late fall 2025 to grow its emergency team. Chief of Staff Dr. Colin Sentongo called the move an important step that improves stability in the department and supports existing medical staff.
He said the hospital’s new CT scanner helped attract candidates, describing it as the gold standard of care.
Dr. Tahereh Hosseini, chief of the Emergency Department, said the new physicians bring valuable skills and knowledge. She said the hospital will continue recruitment efforts as it focuses on resilience, sustainability and service excellence.
The Emergency Department serves about 20,000 people each year.
President and CEO Frank Vassallo thanked Hosseini for her leadership during the recruitment process. The hospital also recognized North Grenville council for supporting physician recruitment efforts.
