Volunteers will accept in-person donations at Richard’s Coffeehouse on King Street West
The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation will bring back the Palliative Care Telethon on February 21, continuing a long-standing community tradition. The event will air live from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on MY FM 104.9, GIANT FM 103.7 and MY FM 99.9.
The original telethon ended in 2023 after raising more than $5 million for Brockville General Hospital’s Palliative Care Outreach Services. The re-imagined event returned last year and raised $160,450, showing strong community support.
All funds raised stay local and support end-of-life care for patients and families across the region.
“Bringing the Palliative Care Telethon back again this year is a powerful reminder of what our community can do together,” said Trish Buote, executive director of the foundation.
Volunteers will accept in-person donations at Richard’s Coffeehouse on King Street West. Additional fundraising includes a 50-50 raffle, dinner coupons and community donation programs.
