TISS will now prepare to face the top teams from across Ontario next week at OFSAA
It was a day to remember for the TISS Pirates boys’ baseball team as they made school history Tuesday afternoon. The Pirates defeated the St. Michael Mustangs 7-3 to win their first-ever EOSSAA Championship.
The big win means TISS is heading to OFSAA for the first time in school history. The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations tournament is the highest level of high school sports in the province.
Players and coaches were all smiles after the final out, celebrating what they called a “dream come true.”
The Pirates showed strong teamwork, powerful hitting and solid defence to clinch the victory. Their hard work all season has paid off, and the school community is bursting with purple pride.
TISS will now prepare to face the top teams from across Ontario next week at OFSAA.
It’s another exciting chapter for Pirates sports — and it’s far from over.
