They have had more than a 100 household increase this year
The South Grenville Food Bank has seen a big increase in demand this year, and the need is not slowing down.
Bonnie Cougler, manager of the food bank, said more people are asking for help than ever before.
This December, the food bank is launching its own advent calendar to encourage the community to donate items.
Cougler noted items that they are looking for.
She also highlighted the need for baby products, including formula, diapers, and wipes.
Cougler added that monetary donations go a long way in helping the food bank meet urgent needs.
The food bank said the holiday push is part of a wider effort to support local families facing rising costs of food, rent, and heating this winter.
Residents are encouraged to give what they can.
