The Brockville & District Hospital Foundation says a local fundraiser is making a big impact after this year's Redneck Rendezvous brought in $43,000 for care and research in the community.

Of that amount $10,000 will go to Pancreatic Cancer Canada and $33,000 will support the Palliative Care Program at Brockville General Hospital.

Organizers thanked Jeanette MacNaughtan, Maddie Couture and their family for leading the event and rallying volunteers, sponsors and guests.

The foundation says the annual gathering has grown into a major local fundraiser over four years.

In that time MacNaughtan's creative efforts have raised a combined $100,000 in honour of her brother Jeff Boisvenue.

The foundation says the tribute reflects care and compassion that continue to help patients and families across the region today and beyond. Supporters say the event shows how community spirit can drive donations and awareness each year in Brockville and area communities.
