A series of public information sessions is being offered across Leeds and Grenville for residents considering a run for municipal council in the 2026 election.

The sessions are open to anyone interested in learning about the process, responsibilities and expectations of elected office. Attendees will hear from experienced municipal professionals, ask questions and connect with others exploring a candidacy.

Presentations will be led by Sandra MacDonald and Yvonne L. Robert, both of whom bring decades of experience in municipal government.

Sessions begin April 25 at Elgin Hall in Elgin and continue through May 21 at locations including the Brockville Public Library, Lansdowne, Prescott and Kemptville.

Local municipalities are hosting the events to encourage community participation and provide clear guidance for potential candidates ahead of the upcoming election.
