Transit boost: Ontario pumps $399K into Brockville, region

The province is distributing nearly $380 million to 107 municipalities through the program

Ontario is investing $399,143 to improve public transit in Leeds and Grenville through its 2025-26 Gas Tax program. The funding will help expand service hours, add routes, buy new vehicles and improve accessibility for riders across the region.

Brockville will receive $216,098, while Prescott, Augusta and Edwardsburgh Cardinal get $122,974. North Grenville will receive $60,071 to support local transit upgrades and growing ridership needs.

Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, said the investment will help residents access reliable and safe transportation.
