Before and after-school child care is available at select schools
The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB), serving Eastern Ontario, officially opened registration this week for the 2026-27 school year. Families are encouraged to enroll their children, including those entering Kindergarten, in one of the board’s caring and innovative schools. Children eligible for Kindergarten must turn four by December 31, 2026. Registration can be completed online through the UCDSB’s parent portal, My Family Room, with support available from local schools for those who need assistance.
The UCDSB offers both English and French programming, including core French and full French Immersion, with play-based learning at the Kindergarten level fostering curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend Kindergarten Information Sessions and Open Houses to explore their local schools and programs.
Before and after-school child care is available at select schools, and international students interested in studying in Canada can contact the board’s International Education program for more information.
