United Way hits $900K goal and what it means for Leeds & Grenville

The organization continues to raise funds year-round through workplace campaigns, events and volunteer opportunities

United Way Leeds & Grenville has reached its 2025 fundraising goal, raising $900,000 to support local programs and services across the region.

The campaign was powered by donations and support from individuals, volunteers, workplaces and community partners. This year’s theme, Hope Starts with You, focused on helping people and families during difficult times.

Board Chair Ian McFall said the achievement reflects months of hard work and strong community support. He praised staff, board members, campaign leaders and volunteers for their commitment through the final days of the campaign.

Campaign Chair Darren Gallacher said the funds raised will create real and measurable impact across Leeds & Grenville. He noted the success belongs to everyone who donated, volunteered or supported the campaign in any way.

United Way’s community investment process is now underway, with volunteers reviewing funding applications. The organization continues to raise funds year-round through workplace campaigns, events and volunteer opportunities.
