The Friends of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area are inviting residents to take part in an Earth Day clean-up on Wednesday, April 22 in Brockville. Volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Centennial Road entrance to help prepare the popular natural area for spring.
Organizer Gwen Gibson explained why the trails won’t be cleaned this year.
Participants can stay for a short time or spend the full morning helping with the effort.
Gibson shared more about the event.
The clean-up will go ahead rain or shine, and people of all ages are encouraged to take part.
Anyone interested in joining is asked to register by emailing friendsmacjohnson@gmail.com before Sunday, April 19.
