Officials encourage travellers to allow extra time during festival weekend
The 1000 Islands Regatta will take place from Friday to Sunday (June 26 to June 28), centred in downtown and waterfront areas of Brockville.
Residents and visitors should expect increased traffic, pedestrian activity, and temporary road and parking closures beginning June 24 for setup and operations.
Blockhouse Island Parkway closes Wednesday June 24 at 6 a.m. to Monday June 29 noon and Ferry Street closed for festival campers.
Water Street Parking and Reynolds will close Thursday June 25 at 5 p.m. to Sunday June 28 at 11 p.m. for campers.
Water Street East will close Saturday June 27 from 6 a.m. to Sunday June 28 at 7 p.m.
Closures are expected to cause congestion limited parking and delays in downtown waterfront areas.
Brockville Railway Tunnel will remain open and drivers advised to plan ahead and follow signage.
