Brockville and Area Food Bank supporters are welcome to drop by the Real Canadian Superstore and No Frills between 10 and 6 today, for the All Hands on Deck Food Drive.
On behalf of his partner Janet, and the Armagh Sifton Charitable Foundation, Winfield Sifton says that for the second straight year, the foundation will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to this particular amount.
He says this will probably be an annual thing moving forward, on behalf of his family's foundation.
He spoke to Amanda Petch, general manager at the food bank yesterday, and says
her interesting way of looking at it was this donation is two months of milk or three months of bread, and that kind of puts it in a real context.
Winfield adds that the foundation is proud to help serve this community, and is thrilled about the recent revitalization of the Armagh Sifton Park sign on Blockhouse Island.
