Men are often seen as more likely to bottle up their emotions, something organizers say can lead to more serious situations if it continues
A new men’s group called The Foundry is now operating in Brockville, and founder Eric Deschamps says he hopes it will make a meaningful impact in the community.
The group is aimed at men around the age of 40 and older who may be holding in emotions or pressures without having someone to talk to.
Deschamps explained why he started the Foundry.
Deschamps first launched the group in Ottawa before deciding to expand into smaller communities, including Brockville.
Brockville resident Julian White, who has been part of the Foundry for some time, said any place is a great place to bring the Foundry.
Deschamps explained the main goal of the group.
White said attending his first Foundry meeting was a big change, but in a positive way.
Deschamps also shared a few final remarks.
