The Leeds and Grenville Accessibility Advisory Committee is inviting residents, business owners, designers and community leaders to a free seminar focused on creating a culture of inclusion.
The event, titled “Beyond the Building: Creating a Culture of Inclusion,” will take place Friday, October 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville.
Keynote speaker Mike Shoreman, a mental health and disability educator, professional speaker and author, will discuss how accessibility goes beyond meeting standards and regulations.
Organizers say the seminar will feature engaging speakers, personal insights from people with lived experience and practical strategies to improve accessibility in workplaces and communities.
Admission is free with registration. More information is available through Eventbrite or by contacting accessibility@uclg.on.ca.
