The Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce has named Wendy Galloway the 2026 recipient of its Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award, recognizing more than five decades of community service in Brockville and across Leeds and Grenville.
Galloway began volunteering at age 12 with the YMCA, supporting children with developmental disabilities. She later served more than a decade with the Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence–Rideau, including as board chair, and helped organize major fundraisers.
She also spent 10 years with United Way Leeds & Grenville, supporting campaigns that raised millions for local programs. Her community safety work included service with the Athens OPP Community Policing Committee.
Professionally, Galloway has worked more than 35 years at Career Services of Brockville, helping people with disabilities find work.
She will be honoured March 26 following the Chamber’s annual general meeting at the Brockville Country Club.
