Alison Doherty will remain in custody after appearing in Brockville court today, in connection with a July homicide investigation in Augusta Township.
Doherty faces a charge of indignity to a dead body related to the investigation.
A judge denied bail following arguments from both the Crown and defense during the court appearance.
Doherty's lawyer, Adrian Halpert was seeking a release with conditions, while the Crown argued she should remain detained.
Doherty is scheduled to appear in Brockville court again Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. by video.
