There has been no word on what comes next for the location, but many locals hope the well-known business could one day return
A longtime Brockville business has closed its doors after serving residents for more than a century.
Tait's Fresh Start ended operations Saturday (May 9), bringing an end to a bakery that first opened in 1908.
The downtown bakery became known for its fresh breads, sandwiches, pastries and cinnamon rolls, while customers regularly packed the shop for breakfast, lunch and sweet treats.
Owner Andrea thanked the Brockville community for supporting the bakery.
She also shared one last message.
There has been no word on what comes next for the location, but many locals hope the well-known business could one day return.
