Brockville Ontario Speedway will honour Lafrance with a special tribute during Saturday's race program
The dirt track racing community is mourning the loss of Stéphane Lafrance, a respected engineer, race car designer, innovator and driver whose influence reached across North America. Lafrance died yesterday, leaving behind a lasting legacy built through decades of success on and off the track.
At Brockville Ontario Speedway, Lafrance became a familiar face in Victory Lane and earned recognition for the famous sail panel design that helped define his racing career. Through his company, Trick Race Parts, he supported countless race teams while advancing the sport with innovative designs and technical expertise.
Over the years, Lafrance received numerous awards honouring his contributions to dirt track racing and his willingness to help fellow competitors. Friends and racers remember him as a generous, passionate and deeply respected individual.
