Aims to improve fitness and recreation space for members of all ages
Construction is starting this week on the long-awaited gymnasium expansion at the Brockville YMCA. The project is a major investment in the community and aims to improve fitness and recreation space for members of all ages.
Site preparation begins with safety fencing going up around the work area. Part of the north parking lot will be closed to make room for construction equipment. Visitors are asked to plan ahead, especially during busy times.
The gazebo will be moved during construction and brought back once the work is done. Access to the outdoor courts will stay open, but the greenspace between the gym and courts will be closed for the duration of the project.
The YMCA says it will provide regular updates as work continues and thanks the community for its support and patience.
