CN railway crossing in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal
In Edwardsburgh-Cardinal, Blair Road will be closed to vehicle traffic at the CN railway crossing today until Thursday (May 27-29) as Canadian National Railway crews carry out rehabilitation work on the crossing.
During the closure, no through traffic will be allowed. However, local residents will still have access to their properties. A detour route will be in place, and drivers are asked to follow posted signs. A map of the detour is available in the accompanying graphic.
The Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal is asking residents for patience and understanding during the work.
People using the Transfer Station on Tuesday, May 27 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. must follow a special detour via County Road 22 and Scott Road to reach the site.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the township said in a statement. Blair Road is expected to reopen on Friday, May 30.
