Police responded to an alarm at Paradise Cannabis on William Street
A 29-year-old man has been arrested after a break and enter at a downtown cannabis store earlier this year.
Around 1 a.m. on March 26, Brockville Police responded to an alarm at Paradise Cannabis on William Street. Officers found broken glass and confirmed that two suspects had forced their way inside and stolen cannabis products.
The Forensic Identification Unit gathered evidence at the scene, which led to identifying one of the suspects.
On June 2, just after 2:30 p.m., an officer on patrol spotted the man walking on Stewart Boulevard. He was arrested and charged with break and enter with intent to commit theft and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
The suspect, who is local, was later released under conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date. Police did not release his name. The investigation continues.
