The Labour Day holiday falls on Monday, September 1st
The City of Brockville has announced widespread closures and schedule changes for the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 1.
Administrative offices, including City Hall, the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, the Water Filtration Plant, and the Wastewater Treatment Centre, will be closed for the long weekend.
City services and facilities are also affected. The Brockville Tourism office, Brockville Arts Centre, Brockville Museum and the Brockville Public Library will not open on Labour Day.
There will be no city transit service on September 1, with regular routes resuming Tuesday, September 2. Waste and recycling pickup will move one day later than normal, running from Tuesday, September 2, through Friday, September 5. The city’s compost site at the Gord Watts Municipal Centre will also be closed.
Residents are reminded that the annual Community Treasure Hunt takes place Saturday, September 13.
