The open house is meant to build interest in future hiring and strengthen local connections
The Brockville Fire Department is inviting the public to learn more about a career in firefighting at an open house this Thursday, April 30.
The event will be held at Station No. 2 on Laurier Boulevard in Brockville.
With more, here’s Natalie Finucan, communications coordinator with the City of Brockville.
Finucan says the open house is a chance for residents to get a closer look at the profession.
Fire Chief Melanie Jones says it is important for the department to recruit people who live close to the community.
The open house is meant to build interest in future hiring and strengthen local connections.
