The Brockville Arts Hub is hosting a special concert this Sunday to honour the lives and legacy of Bruce and Howard Alexander, two musicians who made a lasting impact on the local music scene.
The free event, titled A Sentimental Journey, will feature some of Brockville’s finest musicians performing in tribute to the Alexanders’ teaching, performing, and composing contributions.
Organizer Judy Quick explained what attendees can expect from the performances.
Chris Coyea, another organizer, highlighted a new band debuting Sunday, formed to honour Bruce Alexander, Howard Alexander, and Lance Besharah.
Amanda Petch, Manager of the Brockville and Area Food Bank, who was a student under Judy Quick and worked with both Alexanders, explained how the concert supports the local food bank.
Chris Coyea also shared what inspired the team to organize the tribute concert.
The concert runs Sunday, Nov. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Arts Hub Brockville, located at 32 Park Street.
Donations for building improvements will be matched dollar-for-dollar, and admission is free.
