Est. 2018
The 2025 Brockville Butterfly Run is taking place this Sunday, October 5, at the Brockville Railway Tunnel and Blockhouse Island.
Participants can walk or run a 1 km or 5 km route, with children under 12 free but registered.
The annual event, co-chaired by Tara Kelly and Lesley Patry, supports families who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss.
Kelly explained how the idea first came together.
She highlighted a troubling statistic.
This year’s goal is to raise $8,000, with funds supporting QueenCare and Lachlan’s Light Canada.
Kelly added that registration is simple.
Founded in 2018 by Patry after the stillbirth of her daughter Clementine, the Run has become a community movement, breaking silence and ensuring grieving families know they are not alone.
