The city encourages residents to plan ahead and check hours before bringing yard waste to the facility
The City of Brockville says the compost site will open for the season on May 1 at the Gord Watts Municipal Centre, 251 North Augusta Road in Brockville, Ont. It reminds residents there is no spring collection. The site operates on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with seasonal hours that change throughout the year.
From May 1 to August 28, it is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; from September 1 to October 31, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and from November 3 to November 27, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and on statutory holidays. For more information, residents can visit the City of Brockville website.
The city encourages residents to plan ahead and check hours before bringing yard waste to the facility. It says the seasonal schedule helps manage compost operations efficiently while supporting local waste diversion and environmental sustainability efforts across Brockville and surrounding community areas too.
