The initiative aims to inspire one million Acts of Resilience across Canada
An Alberta doctor is encouraging Brockville to take part in a new national initiative focused on resilience.
Dr. Allen Lycka of Edmonton is pushing for National Resilience Day to be recognized across Canada on Thursday.
Lycka gave some examples of acts of resilience.
Lycka says the idea came after he received an incorrect diagnosis from a doctor, leaving him thinking, “My life has changed, what do I do now.”
He says anyone's life can change in an instant.
He explained why he believes Brockville should get involved in National Resilience Day.
The initiative aims to inspire one million Acts of Resilience across Canada.
