Brockville Farmers’ Market warns vendors after scam email circulates

The market is asking the community to share the warning

The Brockville Farmers’ Market is warning vendors and community members about a scam email being sent in the market’s name.

In a Facebook post shared September 1, the market said someone is pretending to be the Brockville Farmers’ Market and asking recipients to complete a vendor application form.

The warning came after an email appeared to invite farmers, food vendors, artisans and businesses to join the market. The message included a link to a Jotform application.

The market said the email is not legitimate and urged recipients not to click the link or fill out the form.

Anyone who receives an email claiming to be from the market and asking for information should delete it and avoid providing personal or business details.

The market also advised people who are unsure about an email’s legitimacy to contact the market directly before clicking links or submitting information.

The market is asking the community to share the warning.
