Brockville will mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation tomorrow with flags lowered across the city and a special flag raised at Reynolds Park.
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation flag will fly from the community flagpole at the park, while all City flags will be lowered to half-mast.
The annual day, observed on Sept. 30, honours the children who never returned home from residential schools and survivors, families and communities affected by the residential school system.
City administrative offices will remain open Wednesday, and municipal services will continue without interruption.
The City is also clarifying information about a possible community event at Hardy Park.
Although reports have suggested an event would take place there, the City says no event has been scheduled or requested through the municipality this year.
