Brockville golf tournament marks 33 years of supporting palliative care

Organizers are thanking everyone who has supported the event over the years and helped raise millions of dollars for local palliative care

The Friends of Palliative Care Golf Committee is marking 33 years of its annual golf tournament in Brockville.

The tournament takes place tomorrow (Sep. 2) at the Brockville Country Club, bringing golfers together to support palliative care services in the community.

Over the past 32 years, the event has raised more than $5,593,400 for the Palliative Care Outreach Program. The program provides support to people and families in the community who are facing palliative care needs.

Dave Publow and Jim Cooper, co-chairs of the Friends of Palliative Care Golf Tournament, say they are grateful for the continued support and generosity from participants, sponsors and community members.

The committee says the long-running success of the tournament reflects the strong friendship and generosity shown by the community.
